Amsterdam Gay Pride hired me as a freelancer to organize five of the biggest outdoor events for EuroPride 2016. As an event manager for Pride Amsterdam I have been working for ten months at five different events in an amazing small team.
1. Pink Saturday at the Vondelpark
A little festival in the most famous parc in Amsterdam on Saturday 23rd of July. The main stage was a collaboration with the Openlucht Theater, where I booked many artists to perform this day, like Anita Meyer, O’G3ne, Jennie Lena, Gare Du Nord and many more. I organized the yearly Rainbow Market, where many organization and companies show their support to the LGBT community.
2. Pride Walk
Every year there is a Pride Walk during Pride, this year the route was different because it was EuroPride, thousands of people walked together to show their pride and support to the LGBT community. We started at the entrance of the Vondelpark and the finish was at the Dam square.
3. Freedom party at Dam square
The closing party of Pink Saturday (Saturday 23rd of July) was a major party at the most famous square in Amsterdam, the Dam square. 25.000 people came together to celebrate freedom and love. Many artists I booked for this party like DJ’s Don Diablo, Gregor Salto, Roog, Cat Carpenters, MC’s Miss Bunty & Divine and artists like Anita Doth (2 Unlimited), Sharon Doorson, Tara McDonald and Emmaly Brown.
4. Join our Freedom concert at the Dam square
